Punching tapes are designed for mechanical action on a blockage, by transferring a blow from the operator to the place of the blockage, for its destruction. The tapes are a long metal strip that has been specially hardened. As a result of hardening, the tapes are very hard on the outside and soft on the inside. This allows the tape to be fed through the well tray or revision into the pipe.
